AFFILIATED INVESTIGATORS
Since its inception, the CSEA has enjoyed research collaborations with laboratories both in the US and abroad, contributing importantly to Center research and training goals. The affiliated researchers share the general theoretical orientation of the primary Center investigators, and have related, active programs of study in the area of emotion and attentional processes. They benefit from their association with the Center in having access to the Cores for technical consultation and media development, collaborative opportunities with CSEA investigators and in their participation in CSEA meetings and conferences. There are currently almost 20 formally Affiliated Investigators, with laboratories both in the US and abroad (e.g., at the Universities of Konstanz, Tuebingen, and Griefswald in Germany; the University of Granada, Spain; the Karolinska Institute, Sweden). The Affiliates, of course, add significantly to the Center's base of expertise, and most are engaged in joint experiments directly related to the CSEA projects. The Affiliates Program acts as a multiplier of the Center's scientific effort, providing new perspectives, expanding the research base, adding an important dimension to training, and facilitating communication of experimental findings nationally and internationally.
