Post-doctoral Research Fellowship
Clinical Neuroscience of Emotion
A post-doctoral fellowship is available at the University of Florida Center for the Study of Emotion and Attention (CSEA) in a NIMH-funded RDoC research program studying brain imaging and psychophysiological /ERP bio-markers that may discriminate symptom patterns among patients across the full range of fear, anxiety, depression, and trauma disorders. Training in both basic and translational research methods and technology is provided.
Interested applicants should have a Ph.D. degree, and the ideal candidate has previous experience in data acquisition or analysis of fMRI, electrophysiological, or psychophysiological data, together with excellent statistical and programming skills.
To apply, please email a copy of your CV, a brief statement of past research and future goals, and three letters of reference to: CSEA.
Post-baccalaureate Research Training Program
Clinical Neuroscience of Emotion
Research training for post-baccalaureate students is
available in a sophisticated, state-of-the-art psychophysiological research
laboratory at the Center for the Study of Emotion and Attention (CSEA)
at the University of Florida. These studies involve psychophysiological
recording in human subjects (electrode placement and measurement of a
variety of bio-electric signals, including heart, pupil, skin, brain
waves and reflexes) and use multiple computer systems for data
collection, scoring, and analysis. Training involves
psychophysiological hookup, conducting experimental sessions, entering
and reducing data, assisting in all phases of laboratory research with
human subjects. Current research studies investigate emotion, anxiety,
and fear.
The successful candidate is able to work independently and motivated to
learn about bio-behavioral research, with a bachelor's degree in
psychology or related field, 308+ GREs (1200+ old), and an
undergraduate GPA of
3.5 or higher. These research training positions provide an excellent
research background for those planning to attend graduate school and
